What's new

Scene Partner. HitCue now listens while you say your own lines during a scene drill. It highlights recognized words in real time and plays the next line as soon as you finish, even when your text is hidden.

Guided first-script setup. The first time you open a script, HitCue helps you choose your character and rehearsal mode before opening the first available scene.

Act descriptions. Newly analyzed acts can show a short summary in the script hub, so you can understand where the action is before opening a scene.

Why it matters for your rehearsal

Solo cue drills usually make you choose between a fixed pause and tapping through the scene. Scene Partner lets you perform the full line at your own pace, then moves on when you finish.

Live word highlighting shows what HitCue has recognized without turning the drill into a correction score. If recognition is unavailable, you can still advance manually.

Scene Partner needs microphone and speech-recognition access and works on supported device and script-language combinations. Some devices may need a connection when an offline language model is not available.

How to use it

Open a scene and go to Study Settings
Turn on Mute audio of my lines
Under My lines pause duration, choose Scene Partner
Tap Play and allow microphone and speech-recognition access when asked

You can also choose Scene Partner during the guided setup for a new script.
