Study Deadlines, Mute Your Own Lines, and a Song Marker

Study deadlines. Set a target date for a script — a premiere, a show, an audition — and it shows right on the script card. It also syncs with the Calendar, so the date you care about is visible from both places.
Mute your own lines. In TTS drill, you can now silence playback of your own lines while keeping every other character's lines read aloud. It's a single setting that applies across all your scripts.
Song marker. The dialogue marker menu now includes a "Singing" marker, alongside entrance, exit, look-to-audience, cue, and pause — for tagging sung lines in musical theatre scenes.
Why it matters for your rehearsal
A deadline gives studying a shape — "I need to be off-book by opening night" is a different kind of pressure than studying with no end date in sight. Keeping it attached to the script itself, not buried in a calendar app, makes it harder to lose track of.
Some actors only want to hear their cues, not their own lines read back to them — muting your own lines turns the drill into pure cue-listening, which suits actors who already know their lines and just need the rhythm of the scene.
Musical scenes mix spoken and sung lines, and until now there was no way to flag that distinction inside the script. A dedicated marker means you can tag the sung lines without resorting to a side note.
How to use it
Set a study deadline
- Open a script and tap Set study deadline
- Choose a date
- The deadline appears on the script card and in the Calendar
Mute your own lines
- Open a scene or the full script view and tap Study Settings
- Turn on Mute audio of my lines
- Your lines stay silent in TTS drill across every script until you turn it off
Mark a sung line
- Long-press a dialogue line
- Tap Singing in the marker menu
