Theatre Calendar: Rehearsals, Recurring Events, and Reminders

v1.9.0 · June 8, 2026

What's new

A calendar made for theatre schedules. A new Calendar tab lets you track rehearsals, general rehearsals, performances, auditions, lessons, and study sessions in one place, separate from your phone's general calendar.

Recurring events. Weekly rehearsals don't need to be entered one by one. Set an event to repeat daily, weekly on chosen days, or monthly, and it appears automatically on every matching date.

Filter by type. Filter chips let you switch between all events, rehearsals, shows, auditions, and other entries, so a packed week stays readable.

Local reminders. A new bell icon on the Calendar screen opens reminder settings. Choose how long before a timed event you want to be notified — 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day — and a separate time of day for all-day events.

Why it matters for your rehearsal

Rehearsal schedules live across group chats, emails, and paper callboards, and they change often. Having them inside HitCue next to your scripts means one less place to check — and one less reason to miss a call time.

Reminders are local to your device and off by default. Turn them on once and every matching event going forward will notify you at the time you chose, without needing a connection or a server-side trigger.

How to use it

Add an event

  1. Open the Calendar tab and tap the add button
  2. Choose an event type — rehearsal, show, audition, or other
  3. Set a date and time, or mark it as all-day
  4. Optionally set it to repeat, then save

Turn on reminders

  1. Open the Calendar tab and tap the bell icon
  2. Choose a reminder time for timed events (10 min / 30 min / 1 hour / 1 day before)
  3. Choose a time of day for all-day event reminders
  4. Confirm — reminders apply to matching events from then on
