Theatre Companies: Keep the Cast and Scripts Together
v2.5.0 · October 14, 2026
What's new
Theatre Companies. Create a shared space for a production, then keep its people and scripts together instead of sharing each script separately.
Personal email invites and access levels. Invite each person by email as a Member, Editor, or Admin. Members study their assigned parts. Editors can correct scripts, assign characters, and manage shared rehearsal material. Admins can also manage people, access levels, and scripts.
Cast assignment. Editors and Admins can assign every character to one or more people. Add a lead and understudies to the same role without creating duplicate scripts.
Shared notes and cast recordings remain attached to the script inside the Company. Existing personal notes and progress stay personal to each actor.
Why it matters for your rehearsal
A production rarely stops at one actor and one file. The cast needs the same current script, but not everyone needs permission to change or manage it.
Companies make that structure visible. Actors can open the parts assigned to them, the directing team can keep the script and distribution current, and access stays tied to the production instead of a forwarded public link.
How to use it
- Open Your Companies from the Scripts screen and create a Company
- Add an existing script or upload a new one to the Company
- Invite the cast by email and choose each person's access level
- Open a Company script and use Casting to assign its characters
