Bookmarks, Beep Cue, Scene Jump, and Modern Dialogue Styles

v1.6.0 · May 2, 2026

What's new

Bookmark your place. Long-press any line in a scene to save a bookmark. The next time you open that script, you'll land right where you left off — no scrolling, no searching.

Beep before your line. A short audio cue plays just before your character's line in TTS drill mode. Toggle it in study settings. Useful when you're not watching the screen and need a clean signal to start speaking.

Manual pause mode. A new pause option in audio settings: the drill stops after each of the other characters' lines and waits for you to press play. Good for when you want to control the pace yourself instead of racing the timer.

Jump to scene. A scene-jump sheet is now accessible from inside the study view and the lines view. Tap the scene indicator to open the list and jump directly to any scene without stepping back through the navigation.

Modern dialogue styles (Pro). Two new visual layouts are now available in addition to the classic ones: Modern bubbles and Modern script. Both use tighter spacing and clearer visual separation between characters. Classic bubbles and Classic script remain free.

Why it matters for your rehearsal

Study sessions get interrupted. A message arrives, rehearsal ends, you close the app. When you come back, finding the right spot takes longer than it should — especially on long scenes with dense dialogue. Bookmarks make re-entry instant.

The beep cue is a small change with a real effect during solo drills. When you're pacing around the room or working with eyes off the screen, a sound cue removes the need to glance back to catch when your turn starts.

Manual pause changes the dynamic of the drill from "keep up" to "set the tempo." If you're working on a specific exchange and want to think before speaking, you're no longer fighting a countdown.

Scene jump matters in long productions where you rarely study a script from the top. Getting to a specific scene without navigating back to the script hub saves time every session.
